Project reflection

In this intersession i worked on a non-working robot made out of recycled materials. I also worked on a termite board with Zury. I am pretty proud of it because it looks really cool and even though it does not do anything it still was kind of hard to make. I learnd alot about sustianability and ways to conserve. I also learnd about termites, which is what i am presenting about. The chalenge i faced with the display was the robot. Its arm almostg fell of and i had to use alot of hot glue to fix it.
My defonition of sustianability is to take what we need now, without leaving nothing. So we will have enough for the future. To be an envirmental steward is to be responsible about the envirment.

Termites

Biomimicry is an imitation of nature. Termites would be a good subject for biomimicry because they eat the parts of plants we dont. They have small bactieria in their bellys that turns it into ethonal. We can use that for fuel! Enzymes means something that speeds up a process. Part of a plant we dont dont eat can also be called celoustic matireals. Celulostic mairials are better for ethonal than sugar cane because instead of using more and more of the same part of the plant we can use the parts that we dont eat. Therefor, we use the entire plant so we dont waste anything!

There is a small bridge,
a beach with some junk,
there are people passing by,
there are cars passing by,
the opposite of the place we were less than a week ago.
There was no noise,
and people barely passed by,
the water wasn't dead,
and on top of that,
there were no dead skunks.

Sustainable village

My intersession is call building a sustainable village. In this intersession we are going to catalina island to study thier ecosystems. We will be staying their for two days.
